COMPULSORY PIECE: «Leyendas del Bosque»
This work is composed of three movements, each representing a different action, it is a journey through a forest where three different stories unfold, all happening in this forest full of life and magical tales.
The first movement, “El despertar de las almas”, with an Adagio-Andante-Adagio tempo, has a generally legato character, showcasing the sonority and balance of the band in terms of dynamics and sound layers. This movement represents the beginning of a new day in a mysterious but lively forest.
The second movement, “Criaturas fantásticas”, with an Allegro-Moderato-Allegro tempo, has a nimble and light character, frequently combining staccato and legato within the same phrase. This movement depicts the parade of very strange creatures through the forest.
The third movement, “El reino oculto”, with a tempo of Allegro Moderato-Adagio-Allegro-Andante-Adagio, transitions from the most expressive and horizontal, featuring solo melodies in its first section, to a much more accented and vertical character, culminating in a reprise of the first movement and a coda. This movement represents the discovery of a hidden civilization within the depths of the forest.
