Inma Shara is one of the brightest representatives of the new generation of Spanish conductors.
She has conducted the most important Spanish symphonic orchestras and her most recent engagements include collaborations with some of the best orchestras in the world, such as: the London Philharmonic Orchestra; the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra; the London City Chamber Orchestra; the Czech National Symphony Orchestra; the Russian National Symphony Orchestra; the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; the Rome Symphony Orchestra; the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra; the Milan Symphony Orchestra; the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (Switzerland), the Lithuania National Symphony Orchestra; the Latvia National Symphony Orchestra; the Parma Reggio Theater Symphony Orchestra; the Carlo Felicce Theater Orchestra; the Ukraine National Symphony Orchestra, among many others. She has also worked with great soloists of such renown as Mischa Maisky and Boris Berezovsky, among others.
Since October 2007, Inma Shara has collaborated with the prestigious brand of Swiss watches, Vacheron Constantin, which sponsors young talented artists. The brand has given a great deal of support to Inma Shara, who will be its new international image and Cultural Ambassador for the next few years. With the sponsorship of the company, she conducted a concert in Madrid, which was attended by Her Majesty, Queen Sofia, and whose proceeds were donated to the Queen Sofia Foundation for its Alzheimer's project. Inma Shara is well-known for her devotion and commitment to contributing to social projects through music, conducting innumerable benefit concerts for various not-for-profit organizations, such as organizations committed to helping children, concerts in honor of victims of terrorism, and musical events to raise funds for illnesses such as cancer.
In December 2008 she had the honor of conducting, with great success, a concert in the Vatican City chaired by His Holiness Benedict XVI, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
She has recently been awarded the European Excellence prize for her international renown and her contribution to classical music. She has also been named an Honorary Ambassador of the "Spain Brand", a prestigious award given by the Leading Brands of Spain Forum in recognition of her career and her status as one of the most brilliant representatives of the new generation of Spanish orchestra conductors. She was also invited by the European Commission and the SEEI to conduct the closing ceremony of Europe Day at the Universal Expo in Shanghai on 9 May 2010, leading the European Youth Orchestra.
With the prestigious record label, Sony Music, she is working on several recording projects, the first of which was released at the end of 2010.
