The Banda Juvenil de la Agrupación Musical is made up of musicians aged between 12 and 16, and may also include some older musicians from our school for adults.

The youth group is vitally important to our Association as it is the link between the Music School and the Symphonic Band. The Banda Juvenil trains the musicians who, once they have finished their second level of Professional Studies, will join our Band.

Since its creation, the Banda Juvenil offers a special concert at Christmas and another at the end of the academic year, as well as a procession in the Ofrenda de Valencia and another as part of the Moros y Cristianos events of our town.

Particularly worthy of note are: the concert they gave in the Auditorio San Luis (Buñol) as part of an event organized by Escola Valenciana; the concert at Disneyland Paris in 2013; and recently the parade at Disneyland Paris in 2022.

The conductors who have led the Banda Juvenil have always been musicians from our Agrupación Musical L’Amistat: Jose Antonio Serna, Mariano Alcázar, Javier Bezares, Vidal Sastre, Jose Miguel Soriano and, currently, Jorge Coll.

Our Association continues to work to tackle new challenges and projects with the sole motivation of encouraging improvement in the musical quality of our young musicians and, ultimately, that of the Agrupación Musical L’Amistat.

Jorge Coll Navarr owas born in Valenciain2001. He began his saxophone studies at the Escuela de Música de la Agrupación Musical L'Amistat de Quart de Poblet.

He continued his training at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música “Mestre Molins” de Quart de Poblet, where he completed his Professional Music Grades in the specialties of Saxophone and Piano. He also received the Conservatory’s Professional Prize in the specialty of Fundamentals of Composition. At the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia he gained a Higher Art Studies in Music qualification in the specialty of Composition. He has been taught by many renowned teachers, including Andrés Valero-Castells and Francisco José Martínez Gallego.

He has taken part in numerous conducting courses, such as the Symphonic Bands Workshop at the Berklee College of Music de Valencia, with conductors such as Rafael Sanz-Espert, Juan José Navarro, José Miguel Rodilla and Dustin Barr. He has conducted, as a guest conductor, the Banda Sinfónica de la Agrupación Musical L’Amistat de Quart de Poblet.

Since 2023 he has taught at the Escuela de Música de la Agrupación Musical L'Amistat de Quart de Poblet and has been the conductor of the Association’s Youth Band. He has also received various commissions to compose for wind band.
